About Me

I’m from Elizabeth City, NC, and graduated from NC State in December 2024. I’ve always been drawn to creative work — whether it was painting with my dad, crafting with my grandmother, or figuring out how to make something from nothing. That mix of creativity and problem-solving has always stuck with me.

My dad has been self-employed as a custom carpenter since he was 15. Growing up, I learned a lot from him — not just about drywall and painting, but about staying driven and knowing that most things can be fixed if you’re willing to figure it out. In high school, I helped him get organized by setting up a digital platform to manage estimates and invoices, and I’ve been supporting small business systems ever since.

At 18, I took on my first full-time job in property management while also completing 18 credit hours online. Three days in, my manager went on early maternity leave, and I ended up managing a 132-unit apartment complex on my own. It was a challenge, but I stuck with it — and earned Rookie of the Year within five months.

During my junior year at NC State, I was accepted into a study abroad program through the business college. It was a Maymester focused on international marketing — and the first time the program had ever taken students to Argentina. That experience expanded how I think about branding, culture, and the way businesses connect with people in different parts of the world.

After graduating, I joined the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce, where I support local businesses and help coordinate events. That experience — paired with my creative background — inspired me to launch Intracoastal Creative Co., offering branding, content, and business support for entrepreneurs who want to stay organized and grow with confidence.

Outside of client work, I create coastal-inspired home décor and art using locally sourced oysters and driftwood — a way to stay creative and connected to where I’m from.
